2 more weeks before my first exam of this year starts. After this exam, it’ll mark the end of my poly life, meaning, i’ll get my diploma soon. The next chapter of my life is about to begin. Life after poly may also mean nearer to adulthood, or better known as the start of working life. Whether to pursue on further studies or to experience work life in the industry, i still haven’t exactly make a decision yet.
Maybe i should just apply for NTU courses and see if i get in to any of them. Based on my 5 semester results, i may not even get a placing. Furthermore, this year is quite a tough yr to go into uni as it’s the year of rabbits and dragons. Arghh! Nevertheless, i still would not give up to go into uni in another 2 years or so. Currently, i may be helping justina with her tuition centre. If i earn money, what should i do with it? There’s so much temptations, so much things i wanna buy, so long since i last went on a holiday to some faraway countries other than our neighbouring countries. Everywhere in the world seemed to be chaotic and there doesn’t seem to be a correct time which i can travel too.
I wanna start on my baking for CNY goodies. However, i always feel quite lazy. I wonder how much hours of sleep i’ll need. Somehow, i’ll always get tired easily. Someone tell me why pls? Hahaha! Maybe i’ll bake some stuffs after exams…was thinking of baking CNY snacks like pineapple tarts or smth coz i loveeeee pineapple tarts. Hahaha!
Baby & I were thinking of travelling to Redang. Haa…i miss that place. The beautiful scenery, the slack life, the snorkelling…arghhh~ when’s the rain gonna stop and when are the johor flood gonna reside? I miss HK too…it’s sucha wonderful shopping paradise la! I’ll visit the disneyland when i get back to hk and i missed the dessert there! Yum yum…hahaha! I miss everything there! Afterall, it’s the place which baby asked for my hand. It seemed like a decade since i last went there but well, it’s just maybe 6 mths ago? Hahaha! I love travelling and taking lotsa pictures! =)
Currently, i’m still in holiday mood. Don’t have any motivation to start revision. I’m just that sort of person who always do last minute revision, like 1 day before exam? I always don’t see any motivation to study until the last day before exam. There’s just so much temptations around and my mind always seemed to drift away from my notes. So, even if i’m just infront of my notes, i’ll still take super long to finish reading 1 page. hahaha! Whatever it is, i still pray hard that i won’t do too badly for exams! Bless me! =)
Charming guy vs. Sissy guy January 8, 2007
Posted by xiaoxue in Moving Thoughts.add a comment
What makes a guy charming? Looks? Money? Educational level? Nah…none of the above. It may seems hard to be a charming guy. But, if you know exactly what makes a man charming, you’ll realise it isn’t hard at all. All the men in the world, if u wanna impress any girls out there and proved them tat u’re just as equally charming, take special notice on the following blog entry! *grins*
The first thing which u must possess in order to be a charming man must be none other than courtesy. From very basic courtesy like greeting people to all the gentleman acts. Yes, being gentleman is also part of a charming man. In the sense that, most charming men are gentlemen! Hahaha! Small acts like obeying the ‘ladies first’ rule or pulling a chair for a lady are qualities that make up a gentleman. It may not take you alot of time and effort but it meant alot to a lady. Thus, ladies usually label such guy as a ‘charming guy’.
The next thing u gotta have is to be able to put yourself in other’s shoes. Be able to feel for another person and know the consequences of your acts and words. Most importantly, be responsible for all your words and actions. Think before you do or say anything so that it would not hurt another party especially a girl. I’m sure you’ve heard of all the stuffs that ‘girls are made of water’ and thus, they cry easily. How well-said. Never make a girl cry because of what you did or say.
Every girl is a little princess since they were born. A princess to all their parents and to people who dotes on them. Since then, they were showered with lotsa TLC. However, as they starts to grow up, they don’t receive love and care as often now. Maybe that’s one of the reason why every girl yearns to be a princess. So much so that they may list their future occupation to be a princess. It may sound ridiculous and unrealistic to some people. True, in this realistic world, there can never be such thing as being a princess. However, some girls may wish to attain it spiritually. In short, receive the TLC they used to receive when they were young and not exactly do nothing like a princess. Who says that princess always do nothing but to enjoy life? You just don’t know princess well enough… =P
Oh yah, back to our main topic. The last point is to shower your loved one with lotsa TLC. Because the girls yearn for attention, care and love! Hence, it will make you look a more charming man if you can provide them with that. Sounds simple huh…but it’s not easy to do so. Practising all the above as often as you remember, sooner or later, it will become part of you and you will realise it is not that tough afterall.
Talking so much on how to be a charming guy. I’ll now touch on how to make you look sissy. Other than behaving ‘girly’, you’ll just hefta do the vice versa on the above points. When a girl says u’re sissy, it may mean that you’re un-charmed. Well, girls tend to use simplified words which is not exactly what they meant. For example, when they say a guy is cute, it doesn’t mean he is as cute as a baby. Rather, he is handsome or good-looking. It’s just that cute tends to be easier to say and it comes out of the mouth easily. The bottom line is, you decide whether you want to be a charming or sissy guy!

First skating lesson January 8, 2007

Now as i wait for baby’s sms, i shall write a brief blog about today.
7 Jan 07, we went for our first skating lesson! To be exact, it’s inline-skating. We paid for our fees and went to wait for the lesson to start. As time passes, more and more kids started gearing up and skating in our area. “Wah liao…they so pro already, still come for wat…”, i silently thought to myself. Looks like we’re the oldest pair among all these little kids.
However, things wasn’t tat bad when the instructor arrived. We realised that we’re not the oldest pair…*phew* Hahaa! Lesson was quite fun and the basic falling static drill was quite funny. For a moment, i thought we look like lil’ kids playing around in the nursery. Baby look so cute loh…he rolled like all of us did and he was perspiring so much to the extent that he looked as if he just completed some 2.4km run. The instructor was a friendly man, kidda patient as he taught us the very very basic steps. I was glad tat we started skating at our very first lesson. Baby wasn’t doing very badly as well…now, he could skate too! Hahahaha! At first, we were quite worried if we would fail our evaluation at the end of the 4 lessons but after our first lesson, i tink the chance is pretty low. Maybe because we had a instructor who can teach well…he really teaches step by step and make sure u’re doing it correctly.
At the end of our lesson, we went to look at the skates. k2 skates selling at $190. Must be one of the cheapest i’ve seen around bah. Those sportslink and royal sporting house only sell those inline skates with plastic frames and it don’t look as good. The inline skates which the instructors are selling look solid. Now, we’re wondering whether to buy it anot because buying it means we can practise on our own. *tempted to buy* But, so is baby. Hahahha!
Oh yah…i haven’t told my parents that i went to learn inline skate yet. Haa…not tat i don’t wanna tell them but i guess they don’t like the idea of me doing dangerous stuffs like this. They always think that skating is as unsafe as riding a bike because u tend to fly easily during accident. In their eyes, i’ll always be the little child. So, no matter how old i gets, they still forbide me doing their so-called ‘dangerous things’. Well, i paid for the lessons myself and i don’t know how to go about getting the skates also leh…usually, i can tell them the reason i need the money and they’ll give it to me. But i doubt they’ll give me money to buy skates. arrghhh…so irritating…dunno wanna take out my savings anot also. Take out le den i don’t have much reserves since i’ve always been living off my parents. Nvm la, take step 1 at a time..hahaha!
Shall play loco roco le…till i blog again, take care. Oh yah, i’ve got lessons tml…1 hr lecture….*sigh* waste my time to go sch coz my travelling time to and fro takes me roughly 2 hrs.

New Zealand is a place for the brave-hearted adventurers. It has lotsa adventurous activities such as skydiving, travelling on hot-air balloon, bungee jumping, glacier tracking, kayaking in the rapids and lastly, the new activities: Zorbing.
For those who don’t know what is Zorbing, this is the website: http://www.zorb.com/main.html. In short, you’ll be rolled down a slope inside a giant ball filled with air. If you’re more game, you could try adding water inside the giant ball. The air cushion is about 2 feet and it keeps u safe within the ball which is travelling up to 50km/h. Woahhh!! I can’t wait to try it…if i have the chance, i’ll definately give it a go! Btw, this game can be played by 2 person as well…meaning, 2 people can be inside this giant ball! Sounds cool right…
I shall mark new zealand as 1 of the country i wanna go. Other than zorbing, i wanna try flying on a hot-air balloon too! Imagine u’ll be looking at the city from the bird eye’s view and not forgetting, the beautiful sunrise in new zealand! AwwWww…bring me there someday!! Hahahaha! *wink wink*

I’m so entertained by Loco Roco now! I tell you, the game is so addictive and the songs are so cute! Not forgetting the way it’s played. Don’t really hefta think much, just plainly have fun. It kidda brightens up my day and help me pass my time. However, this game is not cheap…baby bought it for me for $55. Well, i made his money worthwhile because i simply love this game to bits! Hahaha!
I’m so glad tat my poly life is going to end REAL SOON! Yes, 6 Feb 06. I hope it comes soon…another 1 month or so! Hahaha! Finally, it’s here man. Another thing i’m glad about it is that school ended before valentine’s day and lunar new year. This is the first time ever i don’t hefta touch any books or notes for CNY ever since i started studying. BIG Hooray to me! Hahahaha!
Oh yah…baby and i haven’t plan anything for valentine’s day yet! Baby, gotta start getting it done since it’s a super popular day and practically, u can’t really do any last minute reservation. Now, the big question is, where are we going? Hahahaha! Haven’t really decide on it yet…arrghhh~~money, money, i need money! XD
Happy 2007! January 2, 2007
Posted by xiaoxue in My Fairy Tale, The BIG things!.add a comment
First of all, Happy 2007 to all! Whatever resolutions u’ve made, i hope it’ll come true! Come to think of it, what’s the resolutions i’ve made? I don’t quite have a habit of making resolutions because i’m not tat kind of person who’s disciplined enough to work my way towards the resolution made. Or perhaps, i might have forgotten about it halfway thru the year or smth? Hahaha! For whatever reasons it might be, i guess i’ll just have short-term goals and achieve it as time comes by.
The next question is, how did you spend the last day of 2006? For me, it’s just plainly sticking my eyes infront of the black google box. On happy occasions like this, it’s best not to hit town and any other organised parties. I mean, the crowd’s crazy and what’s the big deal about counting down to the first day of a new year? Even when i’m at home, the clock still ticks. I hate crowds, BIG crowds. Fish those people who says the more the merrier, it’s only true to a certain extent. Do you really enjoy sweaty people squeezing their way past you or do u enjoy competiting for fresh air? Moreover, your poor little feets are going to suffer due to excessive stamping of shufflings feet. Arghhh! The thought of it just put me off. Thus, organised parties are always a NO-NO for me. Unless you can find me a nice place where i can sit down and i noe i won’t hefta be squeezed like a can of sardines. I prefer celebrating the festive season with people i love, including friends who appreciate and loves me rather than “hi-bye” friends. Maybe i’ve got too much friends but i always think it’s a waste of time and effort to be with people you don’t really like. What’s the point of like saying ‘HI’ to someone and u end up just sitting there and eating for the rest of the day. I think, it’s a waste of everyone’s time and effort. I might as well be someone sleeping and dreaming of something nice! Hahahaha! Nevertheless, i did spend my last day of 2006 very worthwhile. What more can i ask for when baby is just beside me? No crowds, no sprays, no stale air and stuffs! I love it to bits!! =)
Oh yah! Baby and i had now started playing this very addictive game – puzzle fighter. I know it’s not some new game but hey! who says old games can’t be fun and addictive?!!! Hahaha! I enjoy playing with baby and i think he’s getting better. However, i’m still the best la hur! HAhaha! This game is not just a test of your luck, but your skill as well. It’s challenging and u need to like plan ahead and stuffs. The characters look cute as well! And yah…baby still owes me 1 punishment. He had to take off his shorts and run around the living room coz he lost to me!! Baby, i still remember hor!! =P
Finally, i’ve decided on the new skill which i’m going to pick up! Now’s the time to pick up because since young, i’ve always think it’s very nice and fun. However, my parents oppose me of learning it since it’s very dangerous (according to them). Now that i can better take care of myself, i think it’s time to learn it. This new skill which i’m picking up is….*drum rolls* INLINE SKATING!!! I’m going for lessons and learn the correct way of skating. I know how some people skate in ECP in a super ugly manner. Though they’re able to move but it looks very tiring and ugly. To me, all the skills could be picked up OTOT. However, you will only be able to excel under proper guidance. If you learn it on your own, you might be ending up doing it the wrong way and when someone teaches you the correct way, it’s difficult for you to learn it as u tend to go back to your usual way subconsciously. This theory applies to all the skills in life be it swimming, driving, sea sports, etc. Everyone knows how tough it is to kick off habits right…so i’m stepping out on the first step by doing it under proper guidance. This way, i wouldn’t be wasting my time and i hope to do it correctly.
It feels so good to be able to pick up a new skill which i’ve always liked since young. It’s not just a leisure thing but it can be an exercise too. You’ll understand why it’s a form of exercise after picking it up. And the bset part is, baby’s going to learn it with me!! Hahahaha! So excited la…maybe one day, we can really skate like the pros in ECP! =)
